Ideas for how to do eye makeup with a bright lipstick
When you are wearing a bright lipstick, weather it is pink, red, maroon or a berry/wine color, it’s best to downplay the eyes & let the focus entirely be on the lips. In my opinion, the simpler, the better! Bright pink is a huge statement, and to make it wearable it’s better to tone down the other areas of your face. You can wear the bright pink lip in any of the following ways–
Look 1: Do up your face as usual with foundation, powder, contour, blush, highlight, filling in the eyebrows etc. Apply mascara lavishly on the upper & lower lashes. This is the simplest & quickest way to carry off a pink lip. Look 2: Again, complete your skin & foundation routine. This time play with the eyeliner – an awesome winged eye will look great! Depending on your eye shape, decide on the length & thickness of the wing. Finish off with mascara.
Look 3: For this look, you’ll need a little extra time to get ready. For eye shadow, going with neutrals is probably the best. Using a light shimmery shade will look girly & pretty with a sexy black/grey/brown cat eye. Colors like bronze, light copper & pale pink would work really well with the bright lippie.
Then again, do what YOU feel looks best on you! Practice! You are definitely going to get better at it! If you’d like to see a video on how to wear a bright lip, click here.
