For eyes-
For face-
For lips-
Step 1: Apply scotch tape on both the corners of the eye to get a well defined contour. Begin as usual with an eye primer (click here to learn what an eye primer is).
Step 2: Next, apply a reddish-orange eye shadow all over the eyelid and blend with a fluffy dome shaped brush.
Step 3: With the same brush, pick some black shadow and apply to the outer ‘V’ area of the eye blending slightly above.
Step 4: Pick a matte purple colour with the same blending brush and sweep across the colour at the crease fading out any harsh lines caused by the black shadow.
Step 5: Use a light shimmery colour as a highlighter and place below the eye brows. Pick some eye shadow pigment with a flat brush and dab gently over the red shadow. Blend.
Step 6: With the help of a liquid liner, draw a thin line on the upper lash line and take it outwards using the angle of the scotch tape as a cue for a winged liner look. After the liner is done, slide out the tape.
Step 7: Apply black kajal in the waterline as usual.
Step 8: Smudge the kajal slightly below the water line with an angular brush. This will intensify the look a wee bit more.
Step 9: My favourite part – curling the lashes. Hold the curler in between all the lashes and press-release, press-release and count until 10. This will give a very natural curl.
Step 10: Apply your favourite mascara by wiggling the wand from the roots till the tips.
Step 11: Finish off by filling in the eyebrows with a matte brown shadow or an eyebrow pencil.
For the face I applied the Bobbi Brown stick foundation all over and then contoured my cheeks with an Inglot pressed powder. To add some colour to my cheeks, I used MAC Peachkeen and blended it upwards. To add a natural glow, I highlighted my cheekbones with Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in Pink Quartz.
On the lips I applied a pinkish-brown lip liner first and filled the lips entirely with the colour and topped it with MAC Brew (limited edition) lipstick with a dash of lipgloss from Estee Lauder for that sensuous pout 🙂
In case if you are wondering how the colour of my eyes have changed, I am wearing coloured lenses from Freshlook Colorblends in the shade of Amethyst which I purchased from Kapleshwar Optics.
