We’ve saved the best for last – final 5 natural home remedies for pimples
In the last part of the home remedies for pimples series, we have brought the best and simplest home remedies in our kitty. Arm yourself with one of these remedies (or the ones from the previous posts) to battle a girl’s worst enemy- pimples!
1. This is the easiest way of removing those unwanted pimples which pop out of nowhere. Apply less than a drop of honey on the pimple and let it dry for about 10 minutes. Then rinse it off with warm water. The honey sucks out the oil of the pimple while ridding your face of the bacteria which causes the pimples in the first place. Repeat this every day to see the results yourself!
2. The acidity and vitamin C of orange juice are the perfect antidotes for your pimples. Squeeze out about a cupful of orange juice. Then dip a fresh cotton ball into the juice, apply it all over your face and wash when it dries. This does not have to be concentrated on the affected areas and you can use this remedy even for plain old oily skin. The orange juice battles the oiliness and cleanses the dirt that gets accumulated on your skin.
3. Get a dandelion flower, complete with the stem and the leaves. Put it in the blender with a few spoons of water to form a paste. Apply this paste on your face and neck like a mask and wash it off when it dries. The dandelion is widely used as a remedy for pimples, because of its herbal properties.
4. Give yourself a spa treatment at home. Boil about 2 cups of water with 3-4 teaspoons sea salt. Take a clean hand towel and dip it into the water after it has cooled a little. Squeeze out the excess water and place the towel on your face. Your pimples may sting, but that’s just the purification action of the sea salt. Repeat this 4-5 times every day for the best results.5. In our previous posts we have talked about the benefits that bananas give your skin. Not only is the fruit great for your pimples but so is the peel! Rub the banana peel on the affected areas gently. Keep it on for about half an hour and wash it off with warm water. The peel is full of antioxidants which soothes the redness of your skin and reduces the intensity of the pimples. Repeat this twice a week to effectively reduce pimples.
The trick with any home remedy is to give it time to work. Pick one of the home remedies that we have listed that suits your skin tone and keep at it till it takes effect. The best part about home remedies is that they don’t have side effects (unless you happen to be allergic to an ingredient, of course).
