Come November and we are so busy with Indian festivals. The month is chock-a-block with Diwali, Eid, weddings and today we celebrate the birth of Guru Nanak-ji (Sikh guru). The day is observed not just in India but through the world. Gurpurab is one of the most auspicious festivals rejoiced by Sikhs across the globe. The day is marked by prayers in gurdwaras followed by katha (the recital tribute to the Guru) followed by the langar. Since everything starts pretty early in the morning, therefore getting ready can be quite a task. Zuri has come up with 20 cool bun and braid styles for the ladies with long tresses. Now look stylish and neat for Gurpurab celebrations without getting hassled.
Buns and braids are very much in fashion this year. Besides, these hairstyles are versatile and evergreen. There is so much innovation and creativity that can be introduced to such styles. Absolutely sophisticated and tidy looks can be achieved within minutes really! You can go for basic styles if there isn’t much time on hands. But, you can also try out ballerina, sock-bun, messy and braided ones if you practice well in advance. Likewise, with the braid, either you can opt for a 3-strand- loose style or try out French, reverse-French, Dutch. You can braid a small piece near your centre part and then join it with a thick braid to texturize your hair. There are plenty of styles that one can go for. Twisted twin buns or double braids, whatever is your style, just remember the following points:-
- You should have enough bob and bun pins on you
- A good hairbrush with soft bristles for an excellent quality hair-smoothening
- Brush your hair well in advance to remove all tangles
- Keep a hairspray handy for a finished look
- If going for a sock-bun, make sure you have a clean sock handy
