With the onset of summer season, it’s time to ditch your old wardrobe and go shopping for the latest fashions in clothes, accessories etc. Zuri would like to help you with your shopping spree by listing down the top 6 fashion trends for summer 2015, inspired by runways across the globe. So here’s wishing you all a happy shopping!
- Denim Delight
Washed, shrunken or studded, choose your top pick of this hottest fashion trend this summer. Be it jeans or jumpsuit, jacket or a pencil skirt, denim is the jack of all trades this season. From the lace inset denim gown for the red carpet to sequined skinnies for those night outs, there’s a denim for every occasion. It’s been many seasons since we’ve seen denim so diverse and desirable on the runways.
- Go Gingham
This woven check in a plaid pattern has taken the fashion industry by storm. Choose between delicate and oversized gingham checks outlining the most diverse silhouettes with micro checks adorning button down shirts to breezy dresses and a larger check for crop tops and coats. Go for soft colored checks like a dusty peach or maybe a pale blue to go with the light weight of the fabric. Complement it with bare makeup and wind swept loose waves or a messy updo and you’re good to go.
- Its Time for the Little Nude Dress
Move over the LBDs and the LWDs as this summer is all about the LNDs (Little Nude Dress). So whether it’s a body-con dress in dusty rose or an empire line in sandy beige, look uber chic in these pastel dresses this summer. Go for color blocking by adding a dash of vivid accessories and giving a perfect splash of color against the neutral outfit.
- Retro Rewind
From far out flares to wild disco worthy prints, this summer it’s all about traveling back in time to the bold and rebellious 70’s. Bell bottoms, fringes, wrap dresses of the yesteryears have made a huge comeback . So whether it’s a sequined tank top or a bell bottom trouser or even a fringe dress for that matter, fill your wardrobe by going retro this summer.
- Flower Power
Floral trend really blossomed at the spring/summer couture runways in a big way. Be it the breezy floral dresses, floral flared skirts teamed up with mid riff baring crop tops or even graphic floral print bags, just goes on to prove that flower power is here to stay.
- Pleated Please
This summer, whether it’s the high waisted silk midi or the floral print floor length number or maybe even a polka dot mini skirt, we have a lot of pleats coming our way. These narrow folds will not only add graceful fluidity and movement but also make you look ultra stylish this summer.
