1. Red carpet beauty – inspired by Aishwarya Rai
At Cannes this year, Aishwarya Rai was the epitome of beauty. With simply styled waves and a gorgeous deep red dress, it was impossible to take your eyes off her. Her makeup too looked stunning and you should take a leaf out of her book if you are heading for a black tie event. Her dewy complexion is complemented by the right shade of foundation and loose powder. To ensure that her eyes remain the focal point, the eye makeup is light with just a simple stroke of eyeliner and plenty of mascara. Her full cheeks blush with a gorgeous, natural shade. Lastly, her lips are painted with a deep red cream lipstick that matches the shade of her dress.
2. Fresh and natural – inspired by Deepika Padukone
During the promotions of her films Deepika is always impeccably dressed. She knows what works best for her and how to pull it off. This natural and fresh makeup look is perfect for those days when you are heading out shopping with your girlfriends. You can even opt for this look for a movie and dinner date. For this look, Deepika lets her hair loose and parted just slightly off center. The eyes have a nude palette of eye shadow followed by a stroke of brown eyeliner and some mascara. Her cheeks are slightly flushed with a natural pink shade of blush and a swipe of some gloss on the lips finishes off the look perfectly.
3. Tastefully traditional – inspired by Sonam Kapoor
If there is a fashion diva in the Bollywood industry, it has to be Sonam Kapoor. She knows just what to wear, when to wear it and how to look gorgeous. For a celebratory function, Sonam was dressed in a cream salwar suit and had her hair pulled back in a sleek bun. Her makeup consists of mascara donned long eyelashes with a cat eye liner flicking out just the right amount at the ends. A little bit of charcoal eye shadow adds definition to the look. Her pout is painted a natural peach-ish pink and she tops it all off glamorously with a bright pink bindi.
4. Fun and flirty – inspired by Anushka Sharma
Anushka is the fun loving, spirit girl who has shot up to face with her amazing acting skills and gorgeous looks and features. Her milky skin is free from too much makeup for this flirty and fun look but her lips are plumped with a perfectly bright pink. The eye makeup is minimal, but the brows are well defined with a matching brow pencil. With the hair highlighted at the ends and curled to perfection, this is a great look for a first date. Remember to keep it fun and flirty.
5. Sultry smokey eyes – inspired by Sonali Bendre
If you are heading for a wedding reception or an evening party, do up your makeup like this beautiful belle. The eyes have been done up with a bronze palette smokey eye with a hint of charcoal. The eyeliner and mascara are then added to define the shape of the eyes. With a rosy blush shade, her face is perfectly countered to show off her high cheekbones. With the eye makeup done up heavily, the lips are glossed up with a natural looking shade and of course, the whole look is topped off by her dazzling signature smile.
6. Casual chic – inspired by Alia Bhat
For a day at college, or for hanging out with some friends at your favorite joint, Alia Bhat shows you how to get the look just right. Tousled waves, denim jacket and a skater skirt are ideal wardrobe options. For the makeup, keep it simple with just some nude and white eye shadow to brighten up the eyes and plenty of mascara to define the lashes. You can keep the eyeliner away for this look, but if you absolutely can’t live without it try tight-lining instead. Rather than a lipstick or gloss, Alia Bhat’s casual chic look works best with a pink lip stain that can stay on for the entire day.
7. High fashion glam – inspired by Kareena Kapoor
For those who need their dose of high fashion fun, turn to Kareena Kapoor for inspiration. She wears a modern take on a lehenga choli and has her hair done up in a slicked back, low bun. The blush is kept aside to highlight her natural complexion while the lips are painted a deep dark shade of red, almost maroon. For the eyes, Kareena dons tons of mascara and just a hint of eye shadow all defined by bold eye liner.
8. Powerful and professional – inspired by Priyanka Chopra
If you are getting ready for an office party of event, Priyanka’s look is the perfect style guide. With minimal makeup, it exudes class and professionalism. The eyes have a smokey charcoal look without going overboard and looking too bold. Defined eyebrows frame the face and just a touch of peach blush lightens up the powerful look. The lipstick is a nude cream shade and doesn’t take over the entire look but balances it out. The hair pulled back in a glamorous ponytail complete the look of a strong, independent career woman.
