This Republic Day, you can show off your patriotic spirit with a variety of styles. Whether you wear traditional Indian outfits, or opt for an Indo Western fusion look, there is so much to experiment with. And if your outfits have a splash or saffron, green or white, then you will be all set to salute the national flag in style. So here are some styles you can try to keep up your fashion quotient this Republic Day.
For the quintessential Indian look, opt for a beautiful saree. You can opt for any material you like from chiffon, silk to cotton as long as you are comfortable. You can try teaming up a green saree with an orange blouse for a gorgeous Republic Day inspired outfit. There are plenty of sarees available in gradation colors that also look great when draped traditionally.
Another beautiful ethnic outfit is the lehenga. Mix and match and go crazy with your personal style. You can choose a lehenga with a full flare skirt or opt for an A-line skirt with a cropped lehenga top. Add a decorative dupatta and you could show off all the colors of the Indian flag through the different pieces.

4. Dhoti pants
A fantastic ethnic Indo-Western style to try if you are not too comfortable in a saree and yet want to have a stunning outfit is the dhoti pant. Draped like the bottom of a nine yard saree it is easy to pull on and team up with a top of your choice. If you want to give it a more traditional twist, team it up with a gorgeous maang tikka and stilettos to sashay in style.
Bring out the bhangara moves when you get decked up in a Patiala and kurta look. You can go wild by mixing and matching prints and colors that show off your patriotic spirit. Add a parandi to your hair and slip into a pair of jootis for a lovely ethnic look.
6. Floor length kurta
One style that is ruling the runways this year is that of the floor length kurtas. Most are designed with a high neck collar and fall right past your ankles and graze the floor. These kurtas have long slits down the sides of in the front and are extremely stylish and sophisticated. If this is more of your style, you just can’t go wrong with a gorgeous floor length kurta.
