3. Baking Soda

Baking soda has antibacterial, anti-inflammation (reduces redness and swelling), and anti-fungal properties. It also helps in absorbing excessive oil, as well as unclog the skins pores. In addition, to all of these great benefits, baking soda can also brighten your skin. Because of baking soda’s texture, it is a great skin exfoliator, removing dirt and excess oil.

Baking Soda Face Wash Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons of water

Mix baking soda and water until it has the consistency of a paste. Apply to face and very gently rub for up to 3 minutes. Rinse. Use couple of times per week.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

Primarily, apple cider vinegar has amazing antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties and is a great home remedy for acne. • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 5 teaspoons of sugar

6. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is a great alternative to the harsh chemicals that are found in many over the counter acne medications. However, keep in mind that it can still dry out your skin out, so be sure to use it only a few days a week, and even then, only apply it to your face once or twice a day. A good recipe to try is to blend 10 drops of tea tree oil with 20+ drops of witch hazel oil, due to the positive effects both can have. Remember, it can irritate your skin, so caution is advised when using it.

You can easily apply a thin layer of honey to skin that is both dry and clean. Be sure to leave it on your face for about 15 minutes to allow it to take full effect before rinsing with water.

9. Oatmeal

Oatmeal has anti-inflammatory properties and is a great natural defoliant, removing both dead skin cells and dirt. You can mix it with water, honey, or a gentle oil of your choice and utilize it to help your skin feel fresher and healthier. Simply apply it to your skin and let set for 15 minutes before rinsing gently with water.

Diet is something to always consider when dealing with any sort of health problems, even such problems such as with your skin. What you put in your body is going to come out in some way, shape or form, and it can even come out through your skin. Studies have shown that acne can actually be triggered by what you eat. It may take some experimentation on what food is actually triggering acne, but if you can take the time to figure that out and eliminate that food from your diet, you can clear your acne up naturally and pretty easily!

Another food to consider knocking out is sugar. Sugar actually wreaks havoc on our bodies in every way possible, and thus should be avoided by any means necessary. Sugar does things such as messing with our glucose levels.

Exercise is a great way to have a healthy, almost glowing skin as it stimulates blood circulation. Yes, you may sweat, but sweating actually helps to purge your body of toxins that can clog pores and cause unwanted blemishes!
